2012 Land Rover LRX Due For June 2010 Reveal
August 26, 2009 by: My Way
Celebrating an major anniversary in the car-making world almost always means revealing a new model or concept – take Mini’s 50th, for example – and Land Rover isn’t one to buck the tradition. A report out today says the Range Rover LRX will arrive on June 17, 2010 – the 40th anniversary of the Range Rover’s first public unveiling.

The LRX, shown off in concept form at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show, has received a lot of attention for pairing a sharp, modern design with Land Rover’s traditional proportions. It has also caught the eye of eco-types thanks to a 50 mpg hybrid version that’s rumored to be headed for production.

Production of the LRX is tipped to start in early 2011 according to the new report, going on sale shortly after as a 2012 year model. The production LRX has already been previewed in a single official image released earlier this year, but the final version could yet differ slightly.
