Scribble A Beautiful Masterpiece
One of my biggest regrets is that I don’t have a good hand at drawing. I mean I can copy someone else’s sketches but there’s a lot room for improvement. Incidentally, the ScribbleBot is a drawing tool for people like me. Ones who crave to draw neatly, but just don’t have the in-built talent for it. The device can be fed with a preconceived drawing paths downloaded off the internet, to maneuver...

Funny Sign
it seems to me extremely unlikely that this is an actual permanent sign — I assume it’s either a Photoshop or a temporary sign put up just for the photograph. Funny though

REPORT: Utah DoT Admits Higher Speed Limits has Worked Out to Less Speeding
When the Utah DOT raised the speed limit on two pieces of I-15 from 75 mph to 80 mph, it discovered that driving habits didn’t change. When the limit was 75 mph, the Utah DoT found that drivers were going between 81 and 85 mph. And now that the maximum limit is 80 mph, it has found that drivers are going between 83 and 85 mph. You can look at that as less speeding, as the UDoT has, or simply...

Crystal To Open Doors
The Open-Me is a fancy crystal ring that doubles up as a security agent. Besides looking like a hip piece of jewelry, the geometric cut of the crystal is the key to opening your doors. A 3-D scanner embedded in the door lock scans the facets of crystal, and pops open only after authenticating the cut. Only probs is that in a fit of rage, if you ever smash that crystal or simply lost it, you’d be...

Internet Speeds and Costs Around the World, Shown Visually
This awesome infographic shows the internet costs and speeds around the world for the top 20 nations in the ITIF Broadband Rankings. Unsurprisingly, we don’t compare too well. Number one is, predictably, Japan, where the average broadband speed is 60mbps and they pay $0.27 per 1mbps. We, in comparison, average 4.8mbps and pay $3.33 per 1mbps,...

Power Socket SWITCH
We’ve been told pretty often to unplug our devices from the main power outlet whenever they are not in use just in case of an electrical surge that might just kill off whatever devices connected to the grid, as well as these gizmos sipping power unnecessarily even when they’re just idle. The Pocket Power SWITCH aims to change that by removing completely turned off if it isn’t plugged...
